Lyssa's new wonderland: Day 2: Chatuchak - Cabbages and Condoms

The next day, we woke up early and took our beakfas. The breakfast is included and it's self service. You can eat as much bread, muffin, fruits as you can! Also, coffee and tea are provided. But, you must clean up your own spot. This is the beg packer style of living in a guest house.

Then, we decided to take skytrain to Chatuchak because we couldn't find any taxi that is willing to go by meter. In Bangkok, the price of taking a taxi is very reasonable as long as the driver is willing to go by meter. If not, just take the skytrain because it's very new and comfortable.

While taking the train, I tried Qian's Samsung phone. When I was back in KL then I only found out that her phone model is not yet released in Malaysia. I like her phone simply because it's in purple.

This is the famous market - Chatuchak. I reminded them several times that we can buy better cloths and shoes at Platinum Shopping Mall so think twice before you wanna buy any of them. This is the advise given by the shopping queen - Loong Boon Min and I listened her shopping tips always.

Here is our Qian who likes to try all those sour foods through out this whole Bangkok trip. How is the marinated manggo with spicy herbs tastes?

And, we share anything another than boyfriends and undies.

They are so cute and I wish I can smuggle than in my luggage but after second thoughts of not killing them, I decided not to do so. Really don't wanna make them become dead animals~~
And, when Najib becomes PM, he probably will kill all the dogs and chinese.

Oh yeah, and you must automatically be good in asking discounts. I thought I'm good enough, but Qian is much more better than me!

But, when she found something she really wants to buy. Her angle face comes back again!

And, we finally found some really nice manggo salad. The ingredients are sliced green manggo, peanuts, dried shrimps, onions, fried ikan bilis, brown sugar and "yu lu" (鱼露). How I know the ingredients? Because Qian asked for it.

Of coz, when girls are enjoying the shooping and food, guys always look like this.

But, when you forced him to take a picture, he will look like this! Pretender!

Other than shopping, we also get a chance to witness Taksin's supporters (those who ear blue shirts) are protessing for him. It was a peaceful rally at first but just 2 days later it became bad because the Royal's supporters (those who wear yellow shirts) had acted violently in their operation. Luckily it doesn't affect tourists but not for those who are having their holidays at Phuket because the whole airport was turned down.

Well, we were suppose to shop from 1oam to 5pm. But, we are dead tired when the time clocked at 3pm. So, we decided to rest at Chatuchak Park and wait for Frances and Will to come.

And also, picture time!!

Then, we headed back to SUK 11 to get dressed for dinner and sky bar!

A lot of bloggers and friends recommended us to Cabbages and Condom because it is a theme restaurant. It is nothing to do with cabbages, but, it is all about CONDOMS!

I GOT ONE!!! and ... I look damn stupid. Thanks Frances for her proposal... DAMN!!!

We were supposed to go State Tower for the famous skybar. But the stupid taxi driver brought us another skybar, Baiyoke Sky Bar.

Let's show you the sky bar at State Tower that we supposed to go.

Nice right? But, the stupid driver went to the wrong place. Nvm, we will go there some other time. Before we go for the sky bar, we had another quick dinner at some lorong near by.
It's beef noodle......AGAIN...

But this time, we bought some King Prawns!!

Well, the prawn is full with eggs~~~

Hmmm.... I bet he really loves prawns.

Day view, Baiyoke Hotel looks like this. It is 309 meters tall and it is the highest hotel in Thailand. Entranc fees is RM20 per person with a free drink. The sky bar is at 83rd floor.

WE got some time in the elevator and we took pictures!

This place is better than State Tower's sky bar because it had a floor roulette. Therefore, you can have a complete 360 degree view of Bangkok from the top of this hotel.
